Grants the Tactical Offense skill which taunts nearby enemies, and passively increases character armor with higher levels. Can also place a shield that blocks creatures for some time.

  • Level 1:
    • Passive: Confers +0.03% armor resistance and +10 armor. Enables Tactical Offense, which grants total immunity to physical damage and knockdown effects while moving, and taunts nearby monsters in a small radius every second to attack you for 3 seconds. 50 second cooldown.
  • Level 2:
    • Passive: Confers +0.06% armor resistance and +20 armor. Increases the duration of Tactical Offense to 4 seconds and lowers cooldown to 40 seconds. Enables Vanguard, which deploys a 7 tile-wide barricade along a horizontal or vertical axis relative to the position of your cursor and the marine. This barricade has 1000 armor and will absorb enemy attacks, lasting until destroyed, or deactivated by using the ability again. Cooldown time is dependent on how much damage the barricade sustained -- the less damage, the quicker it can be re-used. If destroyed, the cooldown time can be as much as 200 seconds. As long as Vanguard is active, the marine cannot move from their position, and there is a minimum 3 second delay before the ability can be deactivated to allow free movement again.
  • Level 3:
    • Passive: Confers +0.09% armor resistance and +30 armor. Increases the duration of Tactical Offense to 5 seconds and lowers cooldown to 30 seconds.
  • Level 4:
    • Passive: Confers +0.12% armor resistance and +40 armor. Increases the duration of Tactical Offense to 6 seconds and lowers cooldown to 25 seconds.
  • Level 5:
    • Passive: Confers +0.15% armor resistance and +55 armor. Increases the duration of Tactical Offense to 7 seconds.
